@djr8369 this is what started me off
Yes I know. I just don’t get it though it doesn’t upset me and seems basically true as his base is based on that demographic. Yes it’s a bit condescending but then Trump condescends and dehumanises everyone in worse ways.

Switch the TV off and avoid the fear porn. USA is bigger than its President. We have had 8 years of Trump and a bloke who didn't know what day it was and we are still here. Democrats need to get the ordinary working man on side for the next election. Not every American lives in the city

Just ran a great campaign apparently. Making up lies about immigrants eating animals was 4D chess

Mental that everyone slates Trump and claims he's evil and terrible for America and the world

Yet America votes him in 🤔🤔

Edit* not really a politics man so cba with any debate about it, just find it funny he's chastised this side of the pond yet he's slapped Harris all around the gaff

We’re going full circle. My original posts were that the anger and resentment is already there before voting and before anyone is called thick (which is largely imagined). It seems to be a chicken and egg thing. Your answers are constantly about being called thick (no one here has called you thick, only asked you to back up your points). I then said it all comes across as insecurity and am told that’s exactly the kind of talking down you hate but it was in response to your actions.

My point is this

Saying America is going to the pits because of uneducated white people is not helpful and not true , many of these same uneducated white people helped vote in Obama and Biden

It's rude and obnoxious , most people with poor educations are from the poorest families and backgrounds .

Rich educated people fuck us over daily all over the world mate , most of your politicians good or bad are highly educated people

I don’t claim it is helpful but you claim they vote for Trump because of that attitude yet the attitude is in response to voting for him.

He’s been found liable for sexual abuse, he’s hardly a stand up guy.

Joe Biden was the first US President to stand on a picket line with union workers and Democrats also saved a major union pension fund. Trump put a union buster in charge of the industrial relations department.

Still, facts don’t matter

Many educated people will have voted trump too ..

41% of college graduates

It's not the reason trump won .

The polls were actually bang on. My mistake was thinking they weren’t
Even if he was the most unpopular VP candidate in history… the election is for President and as I mentioned, Trump’s approval was higher than Biden’s.

Harris didn’t do anything to differentiate herself from Biden’s Administration aside from word salad about being a ‘new generation of leadership’. So she suffered the downsides of being attached to Biden’s legacy without the benefit of being the incumbent.

Fun fact, she has been unable to outperform a single county Biden won 2020. She’s haemorrhaging votes amongst ethnic minorities, white men and apparently even white women in some states. That takes some going!

Educated people are not the enemy and the attitude they are is dangerous.

Look, the single strongest correlating factor in voting for Trump is lack of a college degree. Of course other people voted for him but you have to look at the main factors.

It sure does when Trump is responsible for women’s deaths by restricting their right to choose. I do not understand how any woman could vote for him

Democrats themselves are making the same observation.

So these people should be the next Democrat target group

He’s not responsible though is he?

He’s come against a national abortion ban and the overturning of Roe v Wade put the power to legislate on abortion back in the states hands (personally, I’m pro-choice). Hypothetically, each state could ban/legalise it entirely. This also didn’t even happen in Trump’s presidency.

I have to check this, so correct me if I’m wrong, but a lot of the states have restricted abortion more in line with European standards. With only a few exceptions.

Well the economy was the biggest issue and most rural Americans see the Democrats as elitest. Harris coming in late didnt help and she is too nice and bland. Trump played the 'outsider' man of the people tough economics guy. Not even close by the looks of it sadly.😮 Putin and Netanyahu are have a party today.

Yes but I don’t think you can solve any of their woes. Damage was done decades ago. You can restrict immigration but realistically that’s probably going to harm the economy overall.

My thinking is most people want a job and a stable life for their families. Unemployment is close to record lows and stock markets are at an all time high. Things aren’t likely to get any better. The reasons people are disenfranchised are vague and difficult to tackle.

I'm just going out on a limb here , call me crazy , a betting man almost ..

University educated?

"Educated people are not the enemy that's dangerous , look you just have to look at the facts it's the uneducated fault "

I'm out
