On a side note, they were advertising for support workers for the nhs nightingale hospital in London at 9.21 an hour.

They still see people as not being worth a decent wage
That’s not even the living wage in London is it?

Gallows humour? So you’re fine with people suggesting that they’d throw a party if Boris died? Gallows humour remember.

I would say that an example of the paucity of the ability to govern is seen in the way we started a gofundme campaign for Big Ben to ring on Brexit Day some time after the government had received a full briefing on COVID19’s imminent arrival and people had started dying. Brexit was genuinely more important to plan for. Zero common sense or leadership, and this government has spectacularly failed in its most basic duty- keeping its citizens alive.

Oh the hypocrisy. So when I say Boris should take it on the chin that's not gallows humour? It's disgusting and crass and abhorrent and I'm a c**t?

Don't know why I'm even bothering to argue with you, what's the fucking point

The take on the chit comment again - sigh

To be fair to the Mail their headlines do seem to be on point and related to the Coronavirus whereas the sun seems to have moved Dear Deidre to the front page. Even the Express have gone with a front page of Desperate nurses Easter plea. The Sun showing how substandard they are.
It has a largely sub standard readership to be honest

Im pleased he’s on the mend...

Do I think it’s a waste of column inches to know if he’s been watching LOTR.... yes I do.

LOTR very on brand for Johnson, surprised he’s doing foreign muck like Sudoku though, should be doing good British crosswords.

Is that real?

And how are those 10,000 we ordered from Dyson getting on?
Apparently. They also offered to donate Hugh Quarshie to deputise for Matt Hancock but he was apparently overqualified. The second bit isn’t true, although Hugh Quarshie probably is better qualified than Matt Hancock.

Can anyone explain what happened with SARS? I remember it, but it barely touched these shores did it.

That was a Coronavirus, so what happened there and how long was it before they managed to get a vaccine?

There were a lot fewer deaths too.

What was different?

What? Why would he even contemplate saying that?

Because he's out of his depth and people out of their depth don't do well under live questioning.

You can get away with lies or mistakes when talking about Brexit or elections, but when people are dying lies and mistakes suddenly look even worse.

He is a Tory mouthpiece.

Of course the strategy is working, locking down and social distancing was always going to reduce the spread - even the most ardent Tory supporter would admit that.

The question is not whether it's working, the question is whether it was done soon enough.
