Don’t think so. He did quit as part of the coup of 2016 but I think he’s generally been a little classier than others.

Imagine finding out that Adi Viveash was gutted we were top of the league and was actively working against us getting promoted so Robins lost his job.

Demanding parliament returns during a crisis- hardly radical.
He should have gone in hard and Hancock and Patel. Shoe on the other foot they would.

There's nothing to suggest he was involved. And nothing to suggest he wasn't. Let's see.
But you keep having a go at him when nothing suggests he has done anything wrong. And then you have a go at him for not doing anything in the last 4 days when he has.

As I keep saying we should give him a chance. If he fails then have a go.

Getting smoke blown up his arse by certain elements within the Jewish community who would do the same to anyone that wasn't Corbyn doesn't impress me.
And I'm not saying the report reveals any dirt on him (Ian is fairly sure it doesnt).

I am giving him a chance, but I'm saying what I think he needs to do, certainly to win me around.

You can't say you were right all along about Corbyn being ineffectual and then be happy with Starmers powder puff start..

You certainly do have a problem with him.

Go in hard when they reconvene. Don't give away points so answers can be prepared.

Is your problem with him that he didn't see Corbyn as the person to lead Labour? As I expect you remember I have wanted Starmer in for a few years. Hopefully he will be another John Smith and make us electable again.

Who would you have preferred to Starmer to lead Labour?

Powder puff start?

Wasting my time here as usual. What about the links I put up?

There was no one but Starmer which is a sad indictment not just on Labour but British politics in general.

As I said in another post, Corbyn tried the civil discourse route, it flopped.
Time for gloves off. He'll win doubters round more with that approach.

The links have nothing to do with calling the Tories to task.
He should have gone in hard on Hancock - how dare he question our NHS heroes etc. Go for the jugular. Shoe on other foot they would.

Well thats fair enough, however what I can and am telling you is that HMRC will be using "every tool in their arsenal" to audit and check somewhere down the line. And those boys have some pretty serious tools in their box, speaking from bitter experience they use GCHQ to get hold of any emails they like and you'd never know it was happening (that was a much more serious issue than furlough tbf, but you don't fuck with HMRC!)

Rubbish again

Here’s his chance to create a massive amount of belief and goodwill with those thousands of people that go out and canvass, support and do the dirty work on the ground
Read the report and wreak havoc on those that tried to stop us winning in 2017. He’ll unite the party more than ever that way.

People in my local Facebook group now dishing out leftovers from their Sunday roast to any takers. Shit like that don't happen when its not a pandemic, why are people desperate to do that shit now?

Likes.

Who is going to rock up at somebodies house for their leftovers from Sunday dinner?

But after just 4 days you make out he has failed.

All I keep saying is give him a chance. But you keep coming out with things he might have done wrong.

Why tell me? I have already said the same thing a few times.

Tell CVD. He is the one who seems to have no faith in Starmer.

Let's see how it plays out.
I really hope he makes a good go of it and offers a realistic alternative to the Tories and not some Tory lite nonsense.
The country needs it.

I have a tin of Guinness left over. I opened it then remembered that I had to go to work :(

My mrs told me about this post, and I agree with Nick. They’re clearly after a few likes. As if you’d “accidentally” cook for that amount of people when you know it’s not needed.

On the same(ish) sort of note, I’ve never heard so many texts into radios saying ‘I’m a nurse...’, most of them probably are but I bet there’s a lot of lies and sad people want to be praised for absolutely no reason.

That is all I am asking for. He won't be able to shit miracles.

And as you have just said he was the only decent prospect out of the whole lot of them. And what I have been hammered for when saying so. We are in a sad state at the moment.

My biggest worry is who does he replace those who are incapable with?

It is going to be a long hard job. But he has a few years to do it in. And the major bonus is the Tories have Boris. A decent leader will pull Boris to bits.

My wife has always cooked too much. That is why I got fat. Now I don't live with her I am a slimline 16 1/2 st. Dropped nearly 3st. Even the dogs love their vegetables. Had to put a stop to them getting all the leftovers.

Maybe it is just a competition to see who can be the loveliest. I should have just let them crack on.

Nooe we’ve looked at it and we know exactly what the restrictions are and we are still paying laid off workers and have no worries whatsoever there will be a problem.

Well let us know when you actually receive the money back off the government. A month ago people were confident there'd be no problem with Covid19.

As with anything in politics, you believe it when it happens, not when they say it will happen.

To be honest I think this serves more as further evidence that certain groups weren't actually concerned with anti-semitism rather than showing Starmer leaping into action.

Lets give him the benefit of the doubt and say he knew nothing of the report, or the actions detailed in it, until he saw it on the news today. Think his response to it will be key to determining if he can unite the party.

Its one thing to say it but you only have to take a brief look at social media to see there are many who don't believe it and see him as Blair 2.0. He had a chance to make a statement of unity with his cabinet but went the other way instead, Reeves in particular a strange appointment in that regard even discarding the anti-semitism issue.

He's got a lame duck government at the moment making a complete mess of a crisis and should also have a new leader bounce. So while its fair to say give him a chance he can't drift along for too long.

Grenners gets his government money paid directly into his bank like every other universal credit claimant
