The EU have now taken the AstraZeneca contract offline.
Oh dear.
Oh dear.
Exactly correct.
People can play semantics all they want, if we were still in the EU we would have been pushed in that direction as well. The fact we aren't is exactly why we are months ahead of other countries. Anyone trying to say brexit didn't play a part needs to give their head a wobble, but I expect they know the truth deep down.
Merkel leading the tanks into Estonia if they emergency approved?
No just making sure they are aware any eu support for projects and any German manufacture Contracts may disappear - it’s what many of us have known about the Eu for years. It’s a fourth reich not of military might but economic dominance
Exactly correct.

Haha back to the 4th Reich again

Utterly pathetic. Spoken like a true flag shagger. Not surprising coming from him though. We all know what he thinks of foreigners, Europeans in particular.

You haven't responded to me pointing out this is false in the EU thread so I'll say it again.
It's false. As Brighton Sky Blue has pointed out.
It has nothing to do with Brexit and we could have gotten the vaccines early if we were still in the EU.
Don't believe everything Matt Hancock tells you.
I stopped replying on that thread because people were getting a little bit shouty, although now I am seeing them starting to come round to what I was trying to say. You are making yourself look more and more silly though.
As I said, you can play semantics all you want. If we were still in the EU, there is no chance we would be in the same position as we are now for a multitude of reasons, some of which Grendel has explained on this very page.

You're not. I don't quite see why people are so desperate to suggest you are...I’m not wrong though am I?
I know someone who works for the prison service. She doesn't know how many exactly, but says it is a lot.Prisons minister on BBC this morning:
'The government has been totally transparent through out This pandemic'
How many people have died of covid in prison?
'I have those figures but we're not putting them in the public domain'
Fucking hell. She's a government minister.

Yes, I'm exhausted with it tbh.Anyone else completely and utterly sick of lockdown now?
I’m sure without googling he can tell me what the first two reichs were about

I would like my vaccine as soon as possible and if that means somebody in Europe missing out so be it, I am happy to be selfish on this, we seem to be fairly organised and the eu held back by people in office who will make sure they get theirs quickly.
Reichs are empires so it’s not hard to work out.
Also of course many countries in the iron curtain had parliaments and autonomy as well...
I think you will agree that most connotations of ‘reich’ are due with a certain toothbrush moustache fellow and probably not with Charlemagne...
No the EU are being held back by a lower than expected yield in the bioreactor of an AZ plant in Belgium.
Whatever your opinions on their actions let's try and keep this truthful and not get all faragey about this.
If they had it tomorrow are they ready to start using it then?
This whole thing he has been a farce here
but the vaccine seems to be something they have got right up to now.
J&J single-shot vaccine results are out:
* 66% effective
* 85% effective against severe disease
I'd have to hear what the experts say before weighing in about whether this is brilliant, a disaster, or somewhere in between. But clearly there's a huge range of efficacy across the various vaccines.
You claimed " The reason we were able to go faster was because we were not part of the EMA APA, which prevents EU participants from procuring outside of EMA approval. Why weren't we? Brexit."
This is false. I'm not playing semantics, what you have said is false.
I'm not making myself look silly by pointing out facts (though actually maybe that is considered silly by Leavers).
It isn't false at all.
The only people looking silly are the ones that think brexit had absolutely nothing to do with where we are with the vaccine roll out.
