Favourite players of the last 25 years?

In terms of causing maximum excitement in the crowd, it's got to be Huckerby and Keane in there. Dublin has to go in for what he did for the club. Ndlovu i think makes top 5. I'm finishing off my final 5 with a curveball... Strachan... i thought he was absolutely immense when he played...

Favourite players of the last 25 years?

25 years takes you back to 96, i doubt there'll be many nominations from about 2002-onwards. Might be better to ask the question of past 15-20 years instead.

    Pivotal Sky Blue Moments

I remember when the speculation about a left-footed superstar was joining.... at the time i'm sure it was mentioned that it was possibly Rivaldo (possibly in the Telegraph or on CWR). Obviously that was cobblers, and it was Jarni....

    Running

Ran an entire fell-race relay route solo the last weekend (minus a couple of drops to valley level down to changeover points) 17 miles and 6700ft of climb and descent. Incredibly tough. Next day i ran up the "Dun Fell road", which is a private service road up to a radar station on top of the...

    Missing the old stadiums

Ninian Park in the UK. In Italy... loved Atalanta (although it has been redeveloped somewhat so that they can host European games which are becoming a regular for them). Hellas Verona and Bologna are fine old stadiums. Wasn't too taken by the Rome Olimpico (although the atmosphere for the...

    Pivotal Sky Blue Moments

It is worth saying though that Strachan was the manager of the "entertainers" era which was the high point of supporting City for me. So I don't hold anything against him. (i am quite aware that the over-spending of that era has most probably led to where we found ourselves over the past decade...

    Pivotal Sky Blue Moments

Yes that was it. And i'm fairly sure that at that point in the season we were right up the top... though as the last few posts prove, memories can be a little hazy...!

    Pivotal Sky Blue Moments

On a similar note, and i've mentioned this on here before... first season down in the championship, fairly early on, we were doing well and were at home to Norwich... i think (possibly incorrectly) that Norwich were top and we were 2nd... a win for us would have put us either top, or clear...

    Running

Went out training with potential new club up in here Cumbria (the plan being i'll continue to run for Coventry Godiva on the Cross-Country/Track/etc), but train and race for these guys on the fells. Gorgeous evening on the Pennines for a 9 mile run out. Standard was high.... i was perhaps 5th...

Mark and Adi how high can they go?

In our current set-up as a club, we could potentially fluke a promotion via the playoffs. I don't mean that to sound disrespectful to the fine job MR and AV have done, but i think our realistic ceiling at the moment is fighting for playoffs, and i think that would be a few years away.

10 mins at 3:30 is decent. Especially for reps. That pace would get you 10:30 for a 3000mtr track race. I returned to fell racing yesterday after 9 months away. 9 miles 3000ft. 1hr48, 2mins down on 2019, but given the long layoff I'm not too disheartened, legs just didn't have that top gear in...

    Stadiums

Those slating the San Siro really need to see it on a matchday. Milan beating Juve in front of 78000 under the floodlights is the best experience i've had in a football ground.... even knocked the Rome Derby off top spot. Stunning. In South America i really like the look of the huge one in...

    Well Done Leicester

I for one am glad they won, and would sooner they (or even Villa at a stretch) take any limelight possible from the so-called "big 6"

    Running

My mileage has reduced last couple of weeks... 46 and 50 miles... Combination of moving house and the resumption of strength work, has made things less consistent. Hoping to ramp things back up again this week, although moving to Lake District next weekend, then next race is a week on Wednesday.
